Best when
Lending stays within the membership
Is a Nidhi company
right for you?
Choose it only when your lending and deposits genuinely stay inside a defined group of members.
Members, not the public
Deposits come from members and loans go to members — never to outsiders.
Thrift and savings is the object
The company exists to cultivate savings within the group, not to run a general finance business.
Secured, small-ticket lending
Loans are secured and capped in the manner the Nidhi Rules prescribe.
You can meet the conditions
200 members, ₹20 lakh net owned funds and the prescribed ratio within the prescribed period.

Best when savings stay inside the membership.
The post-incorporation conditions are the hard part.
Incorporation is straightforward; keeping Nidhi status is not. Membership, net-owned-funds and deposit ratio conditions must be met and reported in NDH-1, with an extension applied for in NDH-2, or the company cannot accept fresh deposits.

ready to use.
A Nidhi company is a public company formed to cultivate thrift and savings within a defined group of members.
