How refunds are assessed
StartupPact sells discrete professional services, not a general software subscription. Eligibility therefore depends on the work completed, commitments made and payments already passed to government or third parties.
We assess requests fairly against the accepted scope, order record and service stage, and provide the basis for any deduction.
Before work starts
If you cancel before document review, consultation, drafting, portal preparation or other substantive work begins, the professional fee is refundable. Payment gateway charges may be deducted only where they are not recoverable by us.
After work starts, before filing
We refund the unearned part of the professional fee after deducting work reasonably completed. This may include consultation time, document review, drafting, searches, application preparation or coordination already delivered.
We will itemise the completed stage or deduction. Government or third-party amounts already paid or irrevocably committed are not refundable by StartupPact.
Filed, delivered or attended services
Once a filing is submitted, consultation delivered, draft or report substantially completed, review performed, hearing attended or certificate obtained, the corresponding professional fee is generally earned and non-refundable.
Government fees, stamp duty, portal charges and third-party certification costs are not refundable once paid unless the relevant recipient returns them to us.
StartupPact delivery errors
If an authority rejects or returns work solely because of our preparation or filing error, we will correct and refile the agreed scope without an additional professional fee. We will also bear a repeat government fee where the repeat charge arose solely from that error and is not otherwise recoverable.
This does not apply when facts changed, information was inaccurate or late, documents expired, an authority exercised discretion, or a new requirement arose.
Packages, bundles and scope changes
A package or bundle is assessed by its individual service stages. Removing an item may change the bundle discount; any refund is calculated using the accepted package terms and work completed, not merely the original item allocation.
If you approve a scope change or substitute service, we may apply an agreed credit rather than reverse and recharge the order.
Duplicate, failed and pending payments
Confirmed duplicate payments are refunded in full to the original payment method. A failed or abandoned payment that was not captured requires no refund. If your account was debited but the order remains pending, share the transaction reference so we can reconcile it before you retry.
How to request a review
Email the company address below from your registered email. Include your name, order or invoice reference, affected service, payment reference, reason for the request and any supporting material.
We aim to acknowledge or respond within two working days. Complex cases involving authority or payment-provider confirmation may take longer, and we will keep you informed.
Approval and processing timeline
Approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method within 7–10 working days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the credit.
GST adjustments, credit notes and deductions will be handled according to applicable tax rules. We do not promise a refund of tax or charges that cannot lawfully or practically be recovered.
Billing disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us promptly with the transaction details so we can investigate. Nothing in this policy limits a lawful remedy available through your bank, payment provider, consumer forum or applicable law.
This policy should be read with the Terms of service and Privacy policy.
